Eat Smart This Monsoon
Monsoons are a time of music, poetry and especially food. There is something in this weather that makes us want to sample spicy and exotic food. But the most important and easily overlooked aspect of this season is hygiene. Ever got bugged with your mother for asking you to wash your hands too many times during the rains? Tiring as it may be, it is one of the most important things to remember.
Our craving for exotic food during the rains is not limited to cooking in our kitchens. Ever been tempted to order a plate of bhajiyas from the stall down the street? Or a plate of Momo’s from the Chinese cart in the market? Most of us have given in to this temptation many times but this year CTF and GITS have taken an oath to promote good hygiene and safe food.
This Monsoon we are running a campaign which will promote the importance of food hygiene and the advantages of home cooked food over take-aways. Check out our site for various articles and photographs on “eating right” this monsoon.
This month you too have a chance to contribute to our cause. Got any candid pictures that depict the importance of home-cooked food or the side effects of take-aways? Well then waste no time and send us in your pictures, videos, blog posts, etc. at online@gitsfood.com.
So this year, be safe and eat safe during the rains. And if you get a craving for some good food then check out our site for various quick, easy and tasty recipes to try out this season.

But finally we decided to cut the fuss ( You know we love saying that over and over again) As one of our beloved followers on Twitter once said #cutthefuss is something not everybody can do because You gotta be cool and that’s a commodity not everybody is endowed with.
Phew! Finally it over… You know some people still don’t believe that we are giving away a Corby. When we were over with all the really? What? Huh? And seriously?
Conversations happened. A few went a little over the top using it in every thing they tweeted and we really loved it! But finally when it came to a lucky draw. We were a little tense about who is it gonna be. We let the computer choose. And finally Computerji gave us a jawab.
And the Winner is!
We would like to congratulate Narayanan Hariharan from Chennai, India @narayananh for winning a Corby. Unbelievable as it is it all started with a question “Do I get one now?” Turns out Narayanan Hariharan, your intriguing mind just got you a brand new Corby! We hope you #Cutthefuss and tweet more with the Corby in your hand. Tell us what you’re gonna do with it.
We look forward to catching up with all our fellow participants who showed us all the love. Before we leave to make the arrangements to dispatch the Brand new Corby to Narayanan Hariharan, Final word to all you tweeps who did succeed in Cutting the fuss with #cutthefuss, you guys are awesome! We’re sad that we can’t send all of you all a piece de Corby, we really are and it didn’t feel cool to select just one of you. How To Cut The Fuss And Win A Samsung Corby
The crazy Indian summer has hit us with full swing and the fuss in our lives has multiplied ten-fold. Here is where CutTheFuss comes in the picture. Like a true crusader (as some of our fans call us) we have found yet another brilliant way to take the fuss out of your lives with a brilliant and fun contest. All you need to do is to tweet the most with #cutthefuss at the end of your tweets. Oh yeah don’t forget to become a fan of Gits Food, and if you do all this you could win yourself a Samsung Corby (for free of course!!). The more the tweets; the more your chances of winning.
Now you’ve been reading CTF since some while, and dare I say we’ve become tight friends. So just like friends should we thought of giving you some inside dope on how to win this Corby..Cut the Fuss style of course!
Get the cheapest mobile interest
If you already have some limited mobile internet plan then now is the right time to get rid of it. Buy yourself an unlimited browsing plan and stay glued to twitter all day. Keep tweeting about what you eat, what you want to eat etc etc, just don’t forget the #cutthefuss
. Oh yeah make sure you have a buddy with you every time you step out of the house, lest you walk into a bus because you are tweeting about CutTheFuss
Hire a night tweeter
Got a friend who owes you big-time for hitting on your girlfriend or stealing your science project? Well now is a good time for some productive revenge. While you can tweet all day, you can recruit your friend to do the over-night tweeting ensuring you get the most number of tweets thus ensuring a greater chance at our lucky draw. Oh yeah, just to make sure your friend does not run away, chain him to your sofa: P
Alternate tweeting
Don’t actually tweet….Just come to our office and whisper your tweets in all the employees ears. Eventually we are going to get pissed off and give you the phone just to shut you up. P.S: I will let you figure out the address and make sure you size up the security guys before you go in. You do not want to take on Hulk Hogan.
Pick up a Fight
It will give you enough reasons to feel fussy and flustered. Of course you should then use your newly acquired cheap mobile internet plan to tweet about the fight and the fuss that follows. Don’t be a stupid brave man and pick a real fight, just fight with your partner or your parents, for the highly ambitious I would suggest a senior co-worker as well, but I don’t know if the Corby would be worth the harassment that follows. It will certainly give you enough reasons to tweet with #cutthefuss till the end of the month though!
Watch all Kings 11 Matches
Follow that by listening to Shah Rukh’s press interviews after every KKR loss. Such shoddy cricket will elicit the fussiest of emotions from you. Feed them to Twitter as they come by and the Corby will soon be yours.
Note to readers: The contest is simple; all it takes is dedication and love towards CTF! After all we have done to take the fuss out of your lives, here is your chance to show us some love. So put some of my strategies to action and add some of your own, and rock the contest.

No Fuss Food
You don’t need to cook up a fire all the time.
Food essentially is in our heart more than tummies, especially us Indians. With Gits it is more than just food really, but we will talk about that on a different day. Here it is all about food and Indian ones more so and some CTF ways to deal with cooking. While our love for food is famous the distaste for cooking extends a tad beyond that, when it need not be.
With tips and tricks to make cooking simpler, and many more words on how to cut the fuss when it comes to food, this section is something you would keep coming back for. So some weird stories, even weirder recipes and some simple ways to get cook up some wonderful cullinary delights fills this space here.

Just for the record this space isn’t a recipe section, we are way too cool for that aren’t we.
Travel Without Fuss
Love to go on camps, treks, back-packing or simply adventurous by nature??? In this section, we will be suggesting places that you can go to, things to carry, do’s & don’t, etc
Travel without fuss is your ultimate travel guide, just that it won’t be as boring as others and that we’d speak only of ways to make travel easy. We have seen people take more stress planning for a vacation than their work. And if a business travel is in the offing for the boss the whole workplace goes into labour pangs.
We like to see the lighter side of it though and believe travel should be a stress buster than stress maker. So if you’re looking for good places to go to, know more about travel preparations and more importantly laugh at other traveller guffaws, come to cutthefuss.com and head straight to the Travel Without Fuss section.
Here again, your experience is vital and important..there is only so much we can talk after all. So pop in your questions, share your travel experience and a lot more other stuff. Just use the contact form on the contact page (where else!) to draw our attention!
Stories and Interviews – Cut the Fuss Style
This is perhaps the fun-most section in the whole website. For it is all about you. Every week or somewhere close to that we would bring up an interview or a story of one among you.
We would share chronicles of cutting the fuss as a student, as a professional, as a young wife perhaps, or as someone who tried to cook for his mom..anyone as long as you have something interesting to share. Cutting the fuss is all about sharing and being independent..on your own sort of. And what better way to celebrate independence than by sharing it.
So look out for us as we come your way and we hope you’d keep the gates open for us (or our emails
).
