Things They Never Taught You About Saving Money
Living alone somewhere away from family (not necessarily friends) are we? If you do and have been living so since some time I don’t need to talk about the mess money or sometimes the lack of it can create. And obviously our remarkable system of education never thought we’d move out of our father’s home and never taught us anything worthy. Worry not though, help is right at hand or rather right below in this case.
Let’s cut the fuss of managing money and what better time than new years to do this!
Step 1 – Work Harder at Work or at Least Spend a lot of Time
You might not realize it now but this is the best thing you can do for your money. For on one hand spending more time at work means less time spent outside, and less the time spent outside less the money spent outside (remember time = money). And what’s more, bosses have a tendency to like and promote those who spend more time at work..more money! No better way to spend less and earn more IMHO.
Step 2 – Find a stingy roommate
If you don’t have a roommate get one first, and then see if he is stingy if not start looking for a new one, but get a room mate first! With a stingy room mate you can be sure of three things – lesser electricity bills, less take aways (they make you fat and your wallet slim) and a dirty bathroom. While the last might seem less appealing the bucks you save otherwise would more than make up for the smell..all the more reason for you to be more at work than home.
Step 3 – Buy the fastest unlimited broadband plan
Of course it will cost more than a regular plan, and what use it if you spend more time at work? Well you can’t imagine the amazing possibilities a better connection gives! You can now get all the movies you want and stack them up through the week to sit and watch on weekends. You won’t need to go for new movie every week. There will be so many movies to watch you won’t go out. Your friends won’t see you ..they’ll think there’s something wrong and come over with food. Saving money all around all for a partly few bucks more..who would have thought!
Step 4 – Buy a bike
Is there a more incredible idea than this. Travel suddenly becomes free. You anyway spend more time at work so won’t be bothered with peak traffic or the sun..recipe for a jolly good ride. You’ll get fit and earn carbon points that you can cash in on 2023. And heck a bike costs so much less than a car, and the girls they swoon over thunder thighs they say.
Step 5 – Buy Gits ready to eat packs
What? You saw this coming? I wonder how.. ![]()
Alright Gits runs this blog but it does make a lot of money making sense it does. See this:
- Take it to work, heat it and eat for lunch – no mess whatsoever.
- Best option when stingy roommate doesn’t come out for dinner
- It’s the easiest dabba to carry to work and it costs half as much (or any other ready to devour packs)
- Takes 3 minutes to heat – best when you are busy watching movies b the dozen with no time to spare
